Chioma Okoye was born in Kaduna state, Nigeria on July 3rd, 1983 to Late Elder Joseph Okoye and Naomi Okoye of Aguleri-Otu in Anambra East local government Anambra state, Nigeria. She is an actress, writer, and producer.

Okoye grew up in Kaduna with her parents and four siblings. She schooled at Faith Nursery and Primary School in Kaduna State. After her primary school, she relocated to Anambra state where she had her secondary school education precisely at Christ the King Seminary School in Nnobi. She studied History and Strategic at the University of Lagos.
Choma’s uncle, Pete Edochie, introduced her to acting. She requently followed him to movie locations, and in a short while, got conversant with the system. She soon got a chance to take part in a movie. She acted in the movie No Shaking alongside popular acts which included Victor Osuagwu, Sam Loco Efe, Chioma Okoye and Nothing Spoil with Chinedu Ikedieze, Osita Iheme, and Uche Ogbuagu. After gaining mastery of the art, she went ahead to produce her own movie Aso-Ebi Girls. Her production caught the eye of many and in no time, her name became a household name. She has since then been a part of many productions.
Chioma Okoye has made a large impact on the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and has positively affected its growth. She is presently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Purple Ribbon Entertainment.
Chioma Okoye is not married and has no children. She lost her father in April 2013
