Nkiruka Omeili (popularly known as Kiki Omeili) was born in Lagos, Nigeria on May 31st, 1980 to Charles and Maureen Omeili of Nimo in Njikoka local government area of Anambra state.
Kiki Omeili is 44 years old.
Born in a relatively affluent home as the second of four children, her dad was a banker and her mum was a prison controller in Ibadan, Oyo state. Kiki attended the Fountain Nursery and Primary School, Surulere, Lagos, before relocating to Benin City where she attended the Federal Government Girls’ College. After completing her secondary education, she proceeded to the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, and obtained a Medical degree in 2006.
Omeili had a strong affinity for stages, and drama generally. While in primary and secondary school, she engaged in many plays. She, however, could not just venture into acting since she studied medicine, and her parents were expecting her to practice. It was not until 2011 that Kiki joined Nollywood and formally went into acting, quitting her medical profession. She got an offer, auditioned and was asked to play a supporting role in the TV series Behind the Smile. In 2012, she played a lead role in a feature film, Married but Living Single. The movie also starred famous persons like Funke Akindele, Joseph Benjamin, Femi Brainard and Joke Silva.
In early 2016, Kiki starred in the Nigerian Box Office hit movie, Couple of Days, where she played the role of Joke. The movie was highly successful and received great reviews from critics. In May 2016, she featured in the short film, Iterum, alongside Pat Utomi. The movie was directed by Stanley Ohikhuare and was premiered at the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival.
As a result of her interest in Dance, she hosted the Dance Reality Television Show Dance 234, a Koga entertainment production. Being medically inclined, Kiki also hosts the health segment on Smooth FM’s Saturday morning radio show called Balancing Life. She also writes numerous articles in online blogs.
On May 31st, 2016, Kiki made her debut as a movie producer, releasing a short film “Unprotected” where she played the lead character. The film’s story was based on some occurrences that she witnessed as a medical student while at the University of Lagos.
Kiki is unmarried. She loves to relax with friends and also loves to visit the cinemas to see movies. She dresses elegantly and loves to stay simple.
