Bukola Fagbuyi (popularly known as Bukky Apesin) was born on April 8th to a family from Itaji-Ekiti in Oye local government area of Ekiti state, Nigeria. She is an actress, writer, and movie maker.

Bukky grew up in Akure, Ondo state, with her family comprising; father who was a researcher, businessman and farmer, mother who was a teacher, and her five siblings of whic she was the second to the last.
Bukky joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) in 2003. Two years later, She premiered her movie, Sekunola, in Houston, Texas with several of her colleagues in attendance. Sekunola is about children, child abuse, parental care and the youths. According to her, "There are many vices in our society but I want to educate people on family values." The cast included Muyiwa Ademola, Saheed Balogun, Bimbo Oshin, Ibrahim Charter, Dayo Amusa, Aderupoko, Kunle Afod, Dupe Jayesimi and so many others, and directed by Adebayo Tijani and Muyiwa Ademola.
Bukky also runs an NGO aimed at offering humanitarian srvices. In 2017, she organised a free health care for Nollywood veterans on diabetes, hypertension and blood sugar in Lagos.
There were rumours that Bukky was dating her boss, Muyiwa Ademola. She however denied it stating, "I want the whole world to know that I have not and will never date my boss." She is not married, but presently dating.
Her hobbies include; reading cooking, travelling, and sports like long tennis, basketball, golf and football.
Her movie, was nominated for ZAFFA Award in 2014. It also won the Yoruba Heritage Awards 2014 at Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
