Yewande attended primary and secondary education at Bright Star Nursery and Primary school and Bright Star Comprehensive High School in Lagos. After this, she attended  Babcock University where she earned a BA in Mass Communication in 2008. She then had her National Youth Service in Ibadan, Oyo state.

The diva began her acting career in 2002 in a music and theatre group, Alphabash before moving on to film in the late 2000s. The first movie Yewande produced was an English content movie titled Life Secret in 2006 and she produced a yoruba film, Igbo Dudu in 2009. Another movie produced by her in 2012, Omo Elemosho starring Bimbo Oshin received 5 nominations at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Her years of experience in the industry had made her a known to people who her both her fans and admirers. She has acted in several popular Yoruba movies including Iyawo Adedigba, Omo Elesho and among others. She is the CEO of Ednawey Productions Limited.

Yewande married her actor/producer boyfriend Ishola Abiodun on February 14th, 2012 and has children with him. In December 2017, she was reportedly arrested in the US for crimes related to credit card scam and bank transfer fraud. She is said to have been placed under home arrest and was also told to submit her travelling passport and documents since investigations are still ongoing on the matter. 

She loves acting, writing, making movies, travelling, reading, learning new things, chatting and meeting new people. She wishes to positively affect many lives with her movie roles, stories, films, books and media contents.
