Sola Asedeko

Sola Asedeko (popularlyh known as Abeni) was born in Lagos, Nigeria to Rev. Dr. Henry and Mrs. Esther Asedeko. A little above the age of 30, she is a Nigerian actress and has featured in more than 30 home videos produced in Yoruba language and soap operas in English language.

Sola Asedeko Early Life

Sola is the sixth in a family of eight children - six girls and two boys. She grew up in Lagos and attended Somori Comprehensive High School, Ogba Ifako Ijaiye, and the University of Lagos Akoka, where she studied Theatre Arts and later on a Masters in Public Administration. At first when Sola got admitted to the University of Lagos, her father wanted her to study Law but she was admitted to the Department of Theatre Arts. He was a bit disappointed but with time, got to love her profession.

Sola Asedeko Career

Prior to acting, Sola worked in a production company for a while. She also had the National Youth Service in Akwa Ibom state. After her service, she worked at Indicator Indicator Media producing magazines for the Lagos State government.

Sola began professional acting in 2006 when she played the lead role in the movie Abeni, a film produced and directed by Tunde Kelani. This gave her a lot of leverage as people started calling for other roles. She has featured in several Nigerian films and soap operas including The Narrow Path (2006) and Afesona (2007).

Sola Asedeko Personal Life

Sola spends her free time mostly indoors watching movies, both local and foreign. On December 20th, 2011, the light-complexioned actress gave birth to a baby boy at a private hospital in Ojodu, Lagos state. The father of the new born baby is a top official at the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA). As at the time she delivered the baby,there was no evidence of any formal marriage between them.
