Honourable Buba attended Government Secondary School Maiha in Adamawa State and graduated with a West African Examination Certificate (WAEC) in 1985. He earned a diploma in law in 1998 from the College of Legal Studies in Yola. In 2000 he obtained an advanced diploma in business management from the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University. He also holds a BSc in political science from the University of Abuja.
