Hon. Anayo Nnebe Early Life

Hon. Nnebe grew up in Awka, Anambra State where he also attended basic school. He obtained his West African Senior Certificate (WASC) in 1981 from Igwebuke Grammar School, Awka. Thereafter, he proceeded to the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka and graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor's degree in sociology.

While in the Anambra State House of Assembly between 2011 and 2015, Hon. Nnebe served as the Speaker of the House. In 2015, he was elected under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to represent Awka North and South Constituency. He hopes to improve the standard of parliament.

In April 2018, Hon. Nnebe announced his defection from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). In a letter to the Speaker of the House, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, he cited fictionalization and several litigation within the PDP as reasons for abandoning the party. Hon. Nnebe regularly organizes development programs for youths in his constituency such as football tournament which has 13 participating towns from Awka North and South.
