Hon. Nassir Ali

Hon Nassir Ahmed Ali was born on June 2nd, 1968. He is an indigene of Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State, Nigeria. He is an accountant and politician representing Nasarawa Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.

Young Nassir began his education in 1973 at Kano Capital School. He graduated in 1980 with a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC). He proceeded to the Federal Government College Kano in 1980 and obtained the Senior School Certificate in 1986. From 1986 to 1988 he studied at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and bagged a diploma in accounting. He enrolled at the University of Jos in 1988 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in accounting in 1992. He also obtained an MBA from Bayero University, Kano in 1993.

Hon. Nassir Ali Career

Hon Nassir worked as Chief Accountant of A.A. Ventures Construction Company from 1993 to 1999. He moved to Homes and Gardens Concepts International where he worked as Managing Director from 1999 to 2011 when he fully joined politics.

In 2011 he was elected into the Federal House of Representatives to represent Nasarawa Federal Constituency. From 2011 to 2015 he served as member of the following House Committees; Banking & Currency, Diaspora Matters, Commerce, Aviation, Gas Resources and Capital Market & Institutions. He was also the Vice Chairman of Local Content Committee.

Hon Nassir was re-elected into the House in 2015 under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC). His legislative interests include educational empowerment of youths, skills acquisition for economic empowerment, and health.
