Ukwa west local government area is situated in Abia state, South-east geopolitical enclave of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Oke Ikpe and the LGA comprises of several towns and villages such as Owaza, Umuone, Uzuaku, Umuokwor, Umuahala, Oborhia, Aparazu, and Amaukwu.
