It takes its origin from INTERLINK COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY & BUSINESS STUDIES (ICTBS), which is situated in the Stratford, East London . United Kingdom. . Over the years, ICTBS has built an enviable reputation for itself in the delivery of a wide range of academic, professional and vocational qualification in Management, Business and Computer Technology. The Institution (ICTBS) is in collaborative partnership with Newham College for Further Education, London , the British AccreditationCouncU, (BAC) Oxford , Cambridge and the Roval Society of Arts (OCR), City & Guides as well as Trinity College United Kindom and Christ Church Canterbury University . The two universities accredit ICTBS up to the Master of Business Administration (Doctorate) level. Interlink College of Technology & Business Studies also partners with the University of London in the delivery of its external degree programmes.

The successes of ICTBS, London and three other factors informed the decision to set up a similar but bigger tertiary institution in Nigeria.
