Kehinde Bankole Early Life

Bankole studied at Tunwase Nursery and Primary School, Ikeja. She was admitted to study Mass Communication at Olabisi Onabanjo University but took a break to concentrate more on her modelling career in 2004. 

Kehinde Bankole Career

Not many know Kehinde started out as a model before branching into acting. her first experience was when she auditioned as a contestant in Miss Commonwealth Nigeria pageant in 2003, although she did not win, she claimed the “exposure” was all she really wanted as she made the top 10. She also had a shot at Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria but could not make the top five list. She was chosen along with Sylvia Udeogu and Olaide Olaogun to become to new face of Lux in 2007 after their amazing roles in the Super Story drama: Everything It Takes. This was where Kehinde made her first acting debut.

Kehinde also starred in other Wale Adenuga’s productions like Papa Ajasco and This Life. She has also starred in  a number of Nollywood movies like Two Brides and a Baby, The Meeting, Awakening and more recently, and October 1. She also hopes of going into music in the near future and presently hosts the daytime talk shows including “Soul Sisters” and “African Kitchen”.

In ealry 2018, it was reported that Kehinde gave birth to a baby for a married man in the UK. She's also rumoured to be dating actor, Wole Ojo. She has also bagged an endorsement deal with online shopping mall Pumoh.

Kehinde won the Revelation of the year award at the 2009 Best of Nollywood Awards.The game changer was when she won the highly coveted Best Actress Of The Year Award At The 2015 African Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards(AMVCA) for her role in Tunde Afolayan’s October 1 movie. She was also nominated for TV Actress of the Year at the 2014 ELOY Awards.
