Hon. Ibrahim Mohammed Baba was born in 1976. He is an indigene of Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Nigeria. He is an accountant, businessman and politician who currently serves as a lawmaker representing Katagum Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja.

Hon. Baba attended Government Science Secondary School and graduated in 1994. He obtained his Senior School Certificate from Nasarawa East School, Azare in 1998. Also in 1998, he obtained a national diploma from the Kaduna State Polytechnic. In 2006, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Abuja. He also earned a Master's degree in 2008 in Finance also from the University of Abuja.
Before joining politics, Hon. Baba worked as a finance officer at the Nigerian Telecommunication Limited. In 2011, he was elected to represent Katagum Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja. He was re-elected in 2015 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). His legislative interests include infrastructural development, security, education and health. His hopes to bring developmental projects to his constituency. He also serves in the public accounts committee.
