Hon. Iduma Enwo Igariwey was born in 1961 into the Igariwey family of Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Nigeria. He is a lawyer and politician currently representing Afikpo North/Afikpo South Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.

Hon. Igariwey attended Government Secondary School, Owutu Edda and graduated with a General Certificate of Examination (GCE). He proceeded to the University of Lagos where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) in 1990. In 2006, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Calabar, Cross River State.
Hon. Igariwey attended the Nigerian Law School in Lagos and was called to bar in 1991 and has since been in the legal field. He has delivered several lectures on administration of local government in Nigeria, in the United Kingdom and United States of America.
He was elected Chairman of Afikpo North Local Government Area in 1999 and served in that capacity until 2007.
In 2011, Hon. Igariwey was elected under the platform of the All Nigerian People’s Party (ANPP) to represent Afikpo North and South at the Federal House of Representatives. He was re-elected in 2015 under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
His legislative interests border on creating robust oversight engagement, creation of job opportunities and provision of infrastructure for his constituency. He targets to remain positively engaged with his constituents with regular contact to identify their needs, hence his development of the slogan, “my constituents must 'see' and 'feel' me”.
