Hon. Munir Danagundi

Hon Munir Babba Danagundi was born on April 30th, 1962. He is an indigene of Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State, Nigeria. He is the lawmaker representing Kumbotso Constituency at the National Assembly.

Hon Munir began his education in 1971 at PSLC Kofar Nasia Primary School. He graduated in 1978 with the First School Leaving Certificate. He had his secondary education at Government College Birnin Kudu (1979-1980) and Science Secondary School Birnin Kudu (1980-1983) and obtained the General Certificate of Examination (GCE). He proceeded to the Kaduna State Polytechnic in 1983 and obtained the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in 1986 and the Higher National Diploma (HND) in 1990.

Hon Munir served as S.E.A Kwarda in Kano from 1986 to 1990. As a politician he served as Chairman of Kumbutso Local Government Area in the early 2000s.

In 2011 he was elected to represent Kumbutso Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives. He has served as member of committees such as; Banking & Currency, Government Affairs, Petroleum Resources (Down Stream), National Security & Intelligence, and Environment. He was also Vice Chairman of Agricultural Production & Services, and Air Force Committees.

In 2015 Hon Munir was re-elected for a second term under the platform of the All Progressive Congress. He is currently the Vice Chairman of Labour, Employment and Productivity.
