Esan Northeast local government area is found in Edo state, Southsouth geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The LGA is bordered by Ubiaja, Igueben, Irrua, and Afemai. Several towns and villages make up Esan Northeast LGA and these include Uromi, Efaindion, Idumoza, Utako, Uzea, Olinliri, Uho, Obedu, and Awo. The population of Esan Northeast is estimated at 275,904 inhabitants with the populace dominated by members of the Esan ethnic group. The Esan dialect is widely spoken in the area while the most practiced religion in the area is Christianity. There are a number of traditional rulers in Esan Northeast LGA with one of the most prominent being the Onojie of Uromi kingdom while notable landmarks in the area include the Institute of Technology Amedokhian and the Uromi Technical College in Onewa.
