Esan West local government area is domiciled in Edo state, Southsouth geopolitical division of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Ekpoma while the area consists of several towns and villages which include Ozigbo, Ilokha, Ognuakun, Ukpowada, Ikiala, Udo-Neria, Ukpodo, and Ega. The estimated population of Esan West LGA is 313,484 inhabitants with the majority of the area’s dwellers being members of the Esan ethnic affiliation.
