Billiri

Billiri local government area is found in Gombe state, Northeast Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are domiciled in the town of Billiri and the area comprises a number of towns and villages which include Gada Uku, Todi, Tanglang, Tudu, Ayaba, Tal, Banganje, Bacha, and Billiri. The traditional administrator of the Billiri LGA is the Mai Tangale while the Tangale ethnic sub-division while popular languages in the area include the Tangale dialect and the Hausa language. Islam is the widely practiced religion in Billiri with the area’s population estimated at 202,644 inhabitants.
