Ifelodun local government area is in Osun state which is domiciled in the Southwest geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Ikirun with the LGA comprising of several towns and villages such as Iba, Eko-Ajala, Obaagun, Oluode, Seke, Fidibomi, Dagbolu, and Ikirun. Ifelodun LGA shares boundaries with the Olorunda, Odo Otin, and Boripe LGAs. The estimated population of Ifelodun LGA is put at 95,774 inhabitants with the most populous tribe in the area being the Yoruba. The Yoruba language is widely spoken in the LGA while Christianity and Islam are the commonly practiced religions in the area.
