Ilorin east local government area is situated in Kwara state, Northcentral geopolitical enclave of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Oke oyi with the LGA made up of towns and districts such as Temidire, Badari, Ibagun, Adwole, Baboko, and Oke oyi. The estimated population of Ilorin east LGA is 185,744 inhabitants with the area hosting members of diverse ethnic affiliations such as Nupe, Yoruba, and Fulani. The Yoruba language is one of the commonly spoken languages in Ilorin east LGA while notable landmarks in the area include the Kwara state college of Education.
