Boluwaduro local government area is located within Osun state, Southwest Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Otan Aiyegbaju and features a number of towns and villages which include Eripa, Igbajo, Iresi, Alafara, Igbodu, Oke Oba, Obanla, Okerun, and Gbeleru. The population of Boluwaduro LGA is put at 101,664 inhabitants with the vast majority of the area’s inhabitants being members of the Yoruba ethnic group. The Yoruba and English languages are widely spoken in Boluwaduro LGA while Christianity and Islam are the commonly practiced religions in the area. Boluwaduro is home to a number of colourful festivals which include the Iresi cultural festival and the Ore festival.
