He is a Nigerian musician, and film/graphics and animation producer. He rose to fame in the music scene and became popular in the music scene in 1990s, after releasing his hit song, “Celebrate” which became a global disco hit in the 1990s.

Alex O grew up in Imo state where he attended primary and secondary school. He later moved to South Africa where he studied Film and Animation.

Alex O began his career in the 90s under Uncle Steve Rhodes. He later joined the Lemmy Jackson music company and worked as a production assistance and songwriter, later signing to PolyGram. He spent time in Singapore, Sweden and France growing his career.

Alex O's marriage to Nollywood actress, Oby Edozie, has allegedly crashed. The crooner, who tied the knot with the actress on December 16th, 2011 and blessed with two kids (a boy born in September 2013. and a girl born in February 2015) is, according to a reliable source close to the singer, taking refuge in the music studio of industry mate, Justin Davidson. According to the source, the marriage began to experience setbacks after Alex could not redeem his aforetime flourishing music career. Alex O left his wife in South Africa to marry Nollywood actress Oby Edozien. After the breakup, he was said to be sleeping in the studio (Heavyweight Studio) of music producer, Justin Davidson.
