Hon Sani had his early education in Jigawa State. He attended College of Education in Gumel, Jigawa State before proceeded to Leeds Metropolitan University, UK where he obtained a Master's degree in corporate governance.
In 2015, Hon Sani was elected as a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Gumel/Maigatari/Sule Tankarkar/Gagarawa Federal Constituency of Jigawa State. He was subsequently sworn in. He is the Chairman of the House Committee on IDPs, Refugees and Initiatives on North East. In 2016 he sponsored a bill on the National Commission for Internally Displaced Persons, Refugees and Migrants. His legislative interests include legislative communication, plenary debates and inter-parliamentary representation.
