Hon. Mohammed Danlami

Hon Danlami Mohammed Kurfi was born on February 20th, 1974 in Sabon Layi, Katsina State, Nigeria. He is an indigene of Barkiya Village in Kurfi Local Government Area of Katsina State. He is a member representing Dutsinma/Kurfi Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.

Hon Danlami attended Sabon Layi Primary School and obtained the First School Leaving Certificate in 1987. He proceeded to Government Day Secondary School, Kurfi and left for Government Commercial College, Mai'adua, in 1990. In 1992 he obtained the West African Senior Certificate (WASC).  He had his tertiary education at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, (1995),  Hanat College (2004) and Kaduna Polytechnic, (2006).

During his professional career, Hon Danlami engaged in oil business before venturing into politics and becoming a legislature. He served as Chairman, D.M Kurfi & Sons Nig. Ltd and Abdul Abdul Petroleum Ltd. He was also a Director at Kurfi Lubricant Ltd; Central Coordinator, Kaduna Refinery, Petroleum Product Marketing Company. 

In 2007, he was elected as a Member, Katsina State House of Assembly representing Kurfi Constituency on the platform of People's Democratic Party. He also served as Chief Whip, Katsina State House of Assembly until 2015. 

In 2015, Hon Danlami was elected into the Federal House of Representatives, where he represents Dutsin-ma/Kurfi Federal Constituency of Katsina State under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC). At the Federal House, he belongs to the Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream).
