Dunukofia local government area is in Anambra state found within the Southeast geopolitical division of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are domiciled in the town of Ukpo and is made up of several towns and villages which include Ifitedunu, Umudioka, Nawgu, Ukwulu, Ukpo, and Umunnachi.
