Ishielu local government area is in Ebonyi state, South-east geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Ezillo with the LGA made up of a number of towns and villages such as Umuakpu, Amalaeze, Azunyaba, Onuoji, Nkalaha, Amaokwe, Nkalagu, Iyonu, and Ntezi.
