Bassa local government area is in Kogi state which is situated in the Northcentral geopolitical division of Nigeria. The headquarters of the area are in the town of Oguma and comprises several towns and villages which include Gbegberegi, Akabasisi, Dipengewu, Butu, Changudu, Paperi, Agodo, and Orekwe.. Bassa LGA is bordered by Rivers Niger and Benue, and Muri town.
