Yusufari local government area is situated in Yobe state, North-east geopolitical enclave of Nigeria with the headquarters of the LGA in the town of Yusufari. Yusufari LGA shares borders with the Bursari LGA and with parts of the Niger Republic. Towns and villages that make up Yusufari LGA include Tulo-Tulowa, Masassara, Yusufari, and Kuri Wakko. The estimated population of Yusufari LGA is put at 201,948 inhabitants with the area largely occupied by members of the Hausa/Fulani ethnic division. The Hausa language is commonly spoken in the LGA while the religion of Islam is predominantly practiced in the area.
