Bassa local government area is located within Plateau state Northcentral Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Bassa. Bassa LGA is bordered by Kaduna and Bauchi states and features a number of towns and villages which include Rimi,Sarkishau, Jere, Biyi, Tariya, Janji, Zarama, Mafara, and Kishika. The major tribes in Bassa LGA are the Bassa and the Irigwe with Christianity and Islam as the major religions in the area.
