Yola South local government area is domiciled in Adamawa state, North-east geopolitical zone of Nigeria.The LGA features a number of towns, villages and districts which include Bole, Sebore, Pugange, Namtara, Gongoshi, Ngorore, Kulangu, and Njoomboliyo. The estimated population of Yola South LGA is put at 185,313 inhabitants with the area occupied by members of diverse ethnic affiliations. The Hausa language is commonly spoken in Yola South LGA while the religion of Islam is widely practiced in the area. Notable landmarks in Yola South LGA include the Federal Government Girls College and the Jambutu Primary School.

Yola South LGA has an average temperature of 33 degrees centigrade and witnesses two distinct seasons which are the dry and the rainy seasons. The LGA hosts the popular Shebshi and Dimlang Mountains with the area having an average wind speed of 10km/h.
