Dutse local government area is found in Jigawa state which is situated in the Northwest geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The towns and villages that make up Dutse LGA include Gidan Dugus, Wangara, Fagoji, Baranda, Zobiya, Madobi, Kawaye, Jidawa, and Dagwaje. The population of Dutse LGA is put at 202,448 inhabitants with the major tribes in the area being the Hausa and the Fulani. Islam is the widely practiced religion in Dutse LGA while the Hausa and Fufulde languages are extensively spoken in the area. The popular landmarks in Dutse LGA include the Federal University Dutse and the Jigawa state polytechnic.
