Kazaure

Kazaure local government area is domiciled in Jigawa state, Northwest Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Kazaure. The towns and villages that make up Kazaure LGA include Durji, Unguwar Gabas, Gada, Durji, Tsohon Kafi, Guru karatayi, and Unguwar Yamma. The estimated population of Kazaure is put at 183672 inhabitants with the area majorly populated by members of the Hausa and the Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa language is commonly spoken in Kazaure LGA while the religion of Islam is widely practiced in the area. Kazaure LGA is home to the Kazaure Emirate and has a number of notable landmarks such as the Kazaure Polytechnic and the Ayuba Dam.

A number of minerals are found in Kazaure LGA and these include Kaolin, Potash, Quartz, and tourmaline. Trade also booms in Kazaure LGA with the area hosting a number of markets such as the Firji market which attracts thousands of buyers and sellers. Other important economic activities undertaken by the people of Kazaure LGA include farming, animal rearing, and crafts making.
