Roni local government area is domiciled in Jigawa state, North-west geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Roni with the LGA comprising of a number of towns and villages which include Baragumi, Gora, Gadare, Kumeji, Pandako, Warpawa, Gasakoli, and Dagasawa. Roni local government area is a part of the Kazaure Emirate and has an estimated population of 164,894 inhabitants with the area mostly inhabited by members of the Hausa and the Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa language is commonly spoken in the LGA while the religion of Islam is extensively practiced in the LGA.
