Soba local government area is found in Kaduna state, North-west geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Soba LGA shares boundaries with the Makarfi, Sabon Gari, Zaria, Igabi, Kauru, and Ikara LGAs. The headquarters of the LGA reside in the town of Maigana and the LGA is made up of several towns and villages which include Yakassai, Lungu, Gamagira, Turawa, Dinya, Magada, Gimba, and Damari. The estimated population of Soba LGA is put at 319,843 inhabitants with the area primarily occupied by members of the Hausa, Fulani, and Mangu ethnic divisions. The Hausa language is commonly spoken in Soba LGA while the religion of Islam is widely practiced in the area.
