Bagudo local government area is located in Kebbi state which is domiciled in the Northwest geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the area are in the town of Bagudo with the area consisting of several towns and villages which include Balundi, Geza, Gyalange, Kudi, Maraka, Tuga, Sharabi, and Rafin Gari. The population of Bagudo local government area is put at 128,945 inhabitants with the majority being members of the Dandi tribal sub-division. Bagudo LGA is bordered by the Republic of Benin and has Islam as the widely practiced religion in the area. The Hausa and Fufulde languages are commonly spoken in Bagudo LGA.
Bagudo LGA covers a total area of 4,782 square kilometres and features two distinct seasons which are the dry and rainy seasons. With the River Niger running through the area, the humidity level is pegged at 12 percent with the average temperature estimated at 32 degrees centigrade.
