Koko Besse local government area is domiciled in Kebbi state, Northwest Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Koko Besse. The LGA is a part of the prestigious Gwandu Emirate and has a number of towns and villages such as Bakoshi, Besse, Koko, Takware, Lani, Dulmeru, Dada, and Hirini. The estimated population of Koko Besse LGA is put at 171,329 inhabitants with the majority of the area’s dwellers being members of the Hausa and the Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa and the Fufulde languages are widely spoken in Koko Besse LGA while Islam is the widely practiced religion in the area.
