Nasarawa

Nasarawa local government area is situated in Kano state, North-west geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the Bompai district of the area. Nasarawa LGA is in an urban ands cosmopolitan region and has an estimated population of 601,304 inhabitants. The area hosts members of diverse ethnic affiliations whiuch include the Hausa and Fulani. The Hausa language is commonly spoken in the area while the religions of Islam and Christianity are practiced in the area. Districts in Nasarawa LGA include Tudun wada, Gawuna, Gwagwarwa, Gama, Kaura Goje, Yan Balangu, Tsamiya, and Kabarin Racca.

Nasarawa LGA covers a total area of 34 square kilometres and has an average temperature of 33 degrees centigrade. The average humidity level of the LGA is put at 25 percent while the total precipitation in the LGA is at an estimated 1200 mm of rainfall per annum.

ECONOMY OF NASARAWA

Nasarawa LGA has a boisterous trade sector and has a number of markets where a variety of commodities are bought and sold. Nasarawa LGA also hosts several hotels, banks, industries, and government institutions.  Other important economic activities engaged in by the residents of Nasarawa LGA include leather works, blacksmithing, and auto repairs.
