Emohua local government area is situated in Rivers state, Southsouth geopolitical zone of Nigeria and the LGA has its headquarters in the town of Emohua. Several towns and villages make up Emohua LGA and these include Amapa, Ngbereka, Omohia, Mgbu Ika, Ehio, Umudioga, Rumuekpe, and Omuabali. The estimated population of Emohua LGA is 169,802 inhabitants with several languages such as ogoni, kalabari and Ikwerre spoken in the area. Christianity is the widely practiced religion in Emohua LGA.
