Kaura Namoda

Kaura Namoda local government area is in Zamfara state, Northwest Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of kaura-Namoda. A number of towns and villages make up Kaura Namoda LGA and these include Tsohuwar, Kasuwa, Lungun Galadima, Kofar kwatar kwashi, Shujar wali, Shiyar Limanchi, Shuyar Dan Galadima, and Kurya. The estimated population of Kaura Namoda LGA is put at 230,853 inhabitants with the majority of the area’s inhabitants being members of the Hausa and the Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa and the Fufulde languages are commonly spoken in the area while the religion of Islam is widely practiced in the LGA. Kaura Namoda LGA hosts the Kaura Namoda Emirate while notable landmarks in the area include the Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda.
