Talata Mafara local government area is found in Zamfara state, North-west geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Talata Mafara with the LGA constituted by a number of towns and villages which include Dankadon Daji, Morai, Guza, Ruwan Gizo, Yartasha, and Talata Mafara. The estimated population of Talata Mafara LGA is put at 184,534 inhabitants with the LGA mostly populated by members of the Hausa/Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa language is commonly spoken in the LGA while the religion of Islam is widely practiced in the area.
