Ideato North LGA shares borders with Umuchu town in Anambra state and has an estimated population of 156,782 inhabitants with the majority of the area’s dwellers bein members of the Igbo ethnic group. The Igbo and English languages are widely spoken in the LGA while Christianity is the commonly practiced religion in the area. Popular festivals held in Ideato North LGA include the New Yam festival.
