Katsina Ala local government area is domiciled in Benue state, North-cewntral geopolitical zone of Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Katsina Ala. Katsina LGA is bordered by parts of Taraba state and by the Kwande, Ushongo, and Buruku LGAs. Towns and villages that make up Katsina Ala LGA include Tor Dunga, Katsina Ala, Gbise, and Ayati. The estimated population of Katsina Ala LGA is put at 194,693 inhabitants with the vast majority of the area’s dwellers being members of the Tiv ethnic division. The Tiv language is widely spoken in the area while the religions of Christianity and Islam are widely practiced in the LGA.
