Emure local government area is located in Ekiti state, Southwest Nigeria. The traditional administrator of the area is the Elemure of Emure and the LGA comprises of a number of towns and villages which include Oke Emure, Odo Emure, Ideimudu, Ogbontioro, Sasere, Owode, Owosi, and Agbanimu. The population of Emure LGA is estimated at 103,566 inhabitants with the area’s most populous tribe being the Yoruba ethnic division. The Yoruba language is extensively spoken in Emure LGA while the religion of Christianity is widely practiced in the area. Popular festivals in Emure LGA include the Ijesu festival.
