Orelope local government area is found in Oyo state, South-west geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Igboho and the LGA is made up of several towns and villages which include Jakuta, Modeke, Adenko, Jegede, Odiyin, Baaru, Akingbasa, and Yewere. The current estimated population of Orelope LGA is put at 215,882 inhabitants with the vast majority of the area’s populace made up of members of the Yoruba ethnic group. The Yoruba language is commonly spoken in the LGA while the religions of Christianity and Islam are practiced in the LGA. The paramount traditional ruler in Orelope LGA is the Alepata of igboho.
