Nsit Atai local government area is situated in Akwa Ibom state, South-south Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Odot. Nsit Atai LGA is bordered by the Uruan, Okobo, and Ibesikpo Asutan LGAs. Towns and villages that make up Nsit Atai LGA include Ubetim, Ndisiak, Ikot Mkpo, Ibedu, Idikpa, Nda Nsit, Etobodom, and Adia Nsit. The estimated population of Nsit Atai LGA is put at 114,308 inhabitants with the vast majority of the area’s populace comprising of members of the Ibibio ethnic group. The Ibibio language is commonly spoken in the LGA while the religion of Christianity is widely practiced in the area.
