The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Afaha Offiong and the LGA shares borders with the Ibesikpo Asutan, Etinan, Uyo, and Nsit Ubium LGAs. The towns and villages that make up Nsit Ibom LGA include Afaha Offiong, Obo Ntong, Okukok, Oboetim Ikot Ekong, Edeobom, Obio Okpok, and Asang. The estimated population of Nsit Ibom LGA is put at 115,893 inhabitants with the area mostly populated by members of the Ibibio ethnic affiliation.
