Nsit Ubium local government area is found in Akwa Ibom state, South-south geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of Nsit Ubium LGA are in the town of Ikot Edibon and the LGA is bordered by the Nsit Ibom and Eket LGAs. Nsit Ubium LGA is made up of several towns and villages such as Ikot Ukap, Ndiya, Ndukpoise, Itreto, Edebom, Ukat, Ibomin, and Akai. The estimated population of Nsit Ubium LGA is put at 109,541 inhabitants with the majority of the area’s dwellers being members of the Ibibio ethnic group. The Ibibio language is extensively spoken in the LGA while the religion of Christianity is commonly practiced in the area. A number of colourful festivals such as the Mbre Mmong festival are held in Nsit Ubium LGA.
