Kukawa local government area is domiciled in Borno state, North-east geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Kukawa LGA is part of the prestigious Borno Emirate and consists of a number of towns and villages such as Alagama, Yoyo, Kekeho, Bongoa, Degagu, Dabu, Kauwa, and Garanada. The estimated present population of Kukawa LGA is put at 159,738 inhabitants with the majority of the area’s inhabitants being members of the Kanuri ethnic division.
