Monguno local government area is situated in Borno state, North-east Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Monguno. Monguno LGA is a part of the great Borno Emirate and is made up of a number of towns and villages such as Musari, Zulum, Kabulawa, Mongal, Dedeta, Asadu, Wulo, and Kaganam. The estimated population of Monguno LGA is put at 210,555 inhabitants with the majority of the area’s dwellers being members of the Kanuri ethnic group.
