Mariga local government area is in Niger state, North-central geopolitical zone of Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Bangi. The towns and villages that make up Mariga LGA include Kumbashi, Koton kobo, Yadi, Tunku, Matari, Iraba, Mabinni, and Afaga. The estimated population of Mariga LGA is put at 239,518 inhabitants with the most populous tribe in the area being the Kamuku ethnic group.
