Mokwa

Mokwa local government area is situated in Niger state, North-central geopolitical zone of Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Mokwa. Towns and villages that make up Mokwa LGA include Arma, Kagogi, Mokwa, Shika, Yalwazab, Tika, Ndayako, Magun, and Fadegi. The estimated population of Mokwa LGA is put at 248,762 inhabitants with the majority of the area’s dwellers being members of the Nupe ethnic group. The Nupe language is commonly spoken in Mokwa LGA while the religions of Christianity and Islam are practiced in the area.
